Parks and Streets

 

Streets Department


There are five personnel in the Streets Department who perform routine maintenance and repairs on the city streets, alleys, and do property clean-ups requested by the Code Enforcement Department. The city contracts major items of construction out to private enterprise. Michael Williamson is the Department Supervisor with over 10 years experience and George Coronado is the Crew Leader with over 25 years experience with the City of Littlefield. Equipment operated by the Streets Department includes a Caterpillar road grader, Caterpillar front-end loader, Elgin street sweeper, two dump trucks, and numberous smaller pieces of equipment.



Parks Department


There are three personnel in the Parks Department who perform routine maintenance and repairs to the city parks. There are three large parks in the city, Laguna, Crescent, and Dunbar. These three parks all have new playground equipment that was installed in 2003. Michael Williamson is the Department Supervisor with over 10 years experience and Ray Serna is the Crew Leader with over 15 years experience. The parks department is responsible for mowing and cleaning all of the parks, baseball fields, soccer fields, downtown area, and the Waylon Jennings RV Park.
